Types of Hair Extensions
Not all extensions are installed the same way. Here's a quick overview to help you pick the right one.
Bundles (wefts)
Hair sewn onto a track. Used for sew-ins, quick weaves and making custom wigs. Most full heads use 3–4 bundles plus a closure or frontal.
Closures & frontals
Lace pieces that finish a sew-in. Closures (4x4, 5x5, 2x6) cover the parting area; frontals (13x4, 13x6) run ear to ear.
Wigs
A complete unit you can take off and put on. Ideal for protective styling and switching looks.
Clip-ins
Wefts with small clips. Add length or volume in minutes and remove at night.
Tape-ins
Thin panels that sit flat against the scalp. Usually applied by a stylist and worn for several weeks.
Braiding & crochet hair
Bulk or pre-looped hair for boho braids, knotless braids and crochet styles.
Ponytails
Wrap-around or drawstring pieces for an instant sleek or curly ponytail.
